- I started at Booth-Fickett as a student teacher in 2008. I was hired the following year as an eighth grade teacher. For the last decade, I have been given the great opportunity to work with 6th, 7th and 8th grade scholars as a Falcon. I am currently working on becoming a National Board Certified teacher and embrace working with outside partnerships to bring real-world opportunities to all of my young scientists.
- I am a native Tucsonan and am a proud product of TUSD education.
- I have three children, two girls and a boy.
- My two eldest children attend Booth-Fickett. The baby is not quite old enough yet.
- My husband teaches our robotic program and has taught science in the past as well.
- I enjoy reading, playing with my kids and playing video games in my spare time.
- I enjoy chocolate and coffee whenever I can.
- My favorite part of teaching is watching my scholars grow and learn how to think critically. Middle school is an amazing age because they really embrace asking why (even when they don't say it out loud). The cool science labs are fun too!
